Route Overview

The 444 mile long Natchez Trace Parkway stretches from Natchez, Mississippi to Nashville, Tennessee.

The road built is asphalt which gives you a very smooth ride almost like riding on a cloud. The lookout is awesome and the smooth drives just gives you that extra bit to enjoy the view as you ride along.

Traffic is generally light on this Parkway except around Tupelo and Jackson. The National Park prohibits the commercial traffic to commute on the Natchez Trace Parkway meaning the motorcyclists don't have to worry about the heavy vehicles like trucks & buses. The Natchez Trace Parkway is meant for recreational traffic, and with no traffic signals or stop lights you can almost ride the entire length without even stopping.

The Natchez Trace Parkway has a lot more that just riding. There are about 95 sight seeing oppotunities, few good ones of them being

  • Birdsong Hollow and Double Arch Bridge
  • Garrison Creek
  • Water Valley Overlook
  • Gordon House and Duck River Ferry Site
