Overview

Route 17 is not rated among the best “scenic drives” in united states but is a descent drive to the stunning Green Mountains at the Appalachian Gap and sweeping views of the Lake Champlain Valley. It has great diversity of landscapes, historic site, sweeping views, impressive green mountains, farms and great altitude.

The ride is very smooth with twist, turns and great elevation to offer. The route is interesting and mostly enjoyed by people who love far away views and the immensity of the valley and the mountains.  Lake at Chimney Point is precious and if you time your trip perfect enough you should be able to witness the gorgeous sunset at the Appalachian Gap.

It has a great panoramic view to the West followed by ski lift and wonderful river shores.

Enjoy your trip!
