Overview

The Million Dollar Highway is one of the most scenic highways in North America. It stretches to about 40km and is a part of the San Juan Skyway. It has a magnificient scenery providing stunning panoramic views.

The road climbs upto 11,000 feet on high mountain pass on Coal Bank, Molas and Red Mountain Pass. It has no guardrails or shoulder protection, so the riders need to stay focused on the road all the times to avoid any mishaps.

The weather on this route is also unpredictable and at times harsh and gets scary escpecially in the rainy seasons and storms when the roads are slippery and the visibility goes down a bit. It becomes challenging during such weather conditons as makes it very difficut to ride on these roads. This happens mostly during peak summer and winter seasons.

The route is characterized by steep cliffs, sheer drops, sharp hairpins, curvy corners and narrow roads. Its fun to drive on such a track but with a little caution, so drive slow and take the pleasure in breath-taking historic drives in United States.
