Route Overview

The Top of the World Highway is a truly breathtaking drive that connects Dawson City, Yukon to Tok, Alaska. It is called Top of the World Highway, as it sits on high latitudes and when you ride this route you ride along the crest of the hills looking down towards the valley; which is a breathtaking experience.

The highway is open during the summers. Mostly the roads are smooth but at some places they are covered with gravel which makes it a rough ride, but fortunately it does not last long. The bad roads are almost a 10km stretch and any rider will need to have some experience riding this patch with patience so to make well with ease;

A touring bike would be recommeded if you plan a trip here. It is a little scary road as weather plays important role especially in the rainy season. But the adventure is paid off with memory that will surely last forever. A lovely biking road.
